Deutsche Telekom AG attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. We always inform you which personal data we collect, how it is used, and how you can influence the process.

1. What data is collected, how is it used, and for how long is it stored?

a) Technical characteristics

When you visit our websites, the web server temporarily records the domain name or IP address of your computer, the file requested by the client (file name and URL), the HTTP response code, and the website from which you are visiting us.

The collected data is used exclusively for data security purposes, in particular to protect against attempted attacks on our web server (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). We do not use it to create individual user profiles, nor do we pass this information on to third parties. The data is deleted after seven days at the latest. We reserve the right to statistically evaluate anonymized data sets.

2. Notification sign-up – What data is collected, how is it used, and for how long is it stored?

By signing up via the form on this website, you agree that Telekom may inform you by email about the availability of the Magenta AI features.

What data is collected?

The following data is processed upon sign-up:

  • Email address
  • Website language (German or English)
  • Sign-up timestamp
  • Confirmation timestamp (Double-Opt-In)
  • Text of the consent statements you confirmed

Processor

Telekom uses the service provider i22 Digitalagentur GmbH, Friedrich-Breuer-Str. 19, 53225 Bonn, Germany, as a processor for handling this data. i22 Digitalagentur GmbH operates the technical infrastructure for sign-up and notification email delivery on behalf of Telekom. The data processing takes place exclusively in accordance with the provisions of this data privacy notice and on the instruction of Telekom as the responsible controller.

What is the data used for?

Your email address is used exclusively to send you the one-time confirmation email (Double-Opt-In) and to notify you about the availability of the Magenta AI features you signed up for. No use for other marketing purposes takes place.

How long is the data stored?

Your data is stored until you have received the notification, but no longer than 6 months from sign-up. The data is then deleted.

Withdrawal

You may withdraw your consent at any time. Please use the "Unsubscribe" link in one of our emails or contact us informally at weloveai@telekom.de.

3. Where can I find the information that is important to me?

These data privacy notices provide an overview of the points that apply to the processing of your data by Deutsche Telekom in this web portal.

4. Is my usage behavior analyzed, e.g. through tracking and cookies?

No, this web portal does not use cookies or tracking.

5. Who is responsible for data processing? Who can I contact if I have data privacy questions about Deutsche Telekom?

6. What rights do I have?

You have the right

  1. a) to request information about the categories of personal data processed, the purposes of processing, any recipients of the data, and the planned retention period (Art. 15 GDPR);
  2. b) to request the correction or completion of incorrect or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR);
  3. c) to revoke any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR);
  4. d) to object to the processing of data based on legitimate interests for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR);
  5. e) to request the deletion of data in certain cases pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR — in particular, when the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or is being processed unlawfully, or when you have revoked consent under c) or filed an objection under d);
  6. f) to request the restriction of processing under certain conditions, where deletion is not possible or the obligation to delete is disputed (Art. 18 GDPR);
  7. g) to data portability — i.e. you can receive your data that you have provided to us in a common, machine-readable format such as CSV, and transmit it to others where applicable (Art. 20 GDPR);
  8. h) to file a complaint about data processing with the competent supervisory authority (for telecommunications contracts: Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information; for other matters: State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia).

7. To whom does Deutsche Telekom pass on my data?

  • To processors, i.e. companies that we commission within the legally defined framework to process data (Art. 28 GDPR — service providers, vicarious agents). In this case too, Deutsche Telekom remains responsible for the protection of your data. We commission companies in particular in the following areas: IT, sales, marketing, finance, consulting, customer service, human resources, logistics, and printing.
  • To cooperation partners who, on their own responsibility, provide services for you or in connection with your contract with Deutsche Telekom. This is the case when you commission services from these partners through us, consent to the partner being involved, or we involve the partner on the basis of legal authorization.
  • Due to legal obligations: In certain cases, we are legally obliged to pass on certain data to a state body that requests it.

8. Where is my data processed?

As a rule, your data is processed in Germany and other European countries.
